Badaguan Scenic Area

Built in the 1930s, it is a nationally‑protected cultural‑heritage architectural complex and reputed as “Exposition of World Architecture”. Its name originates from a group of streets named after ancient Great‑Wall passes. More than 300 villas of over 20 international architectural styles including German, Russian, British, French and Danish scatter across the tree‑covered neighbourhood. Every road is planted with distinct flora, creating shifting seasonal landscapes: peach blossoms along Shaoguan Road in spring, shady broad‑leaf trees in summer, golden ginkgoes and red maples on Juyongguan Road in autumn, and quiet pine‑cypress scenery in winter. Core highlights include Huashi Building, a granite coastal castle‑style villa; fairy‑tale‑like Princess House; vintage Butterfly House, Spanish‑Style Pavilion, and the adjacent No.2 Bathing Beach with soft sandy shore and coastal sea views. The whole open‑air block is free for public wandering. Individual interior villas require separate tickets.
