Located beside Baisha Ancient Town under Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Tinghua Valley is a 3A-level flower-themed scenic area covering 300 acres. It features layered seasonal flower fields, iconic Hobbit cottages, a white wedding chapel, mirror lake and an alpaca ranch, with unobstructed snow-capped mountain backdrops all year round. The general admission ticket includes a free snow mountain rose coffee coupon; paid add-ons include alpaca feed, picnic mat rental and DIY flower cake workshops. It is a top spot for travel photography, leisure walks and family outings.
Travel Tips
- Visitors aged 70 and above enjoy free admission by presenting official identity documents.
- Public buses 6, 17 and 101 stop near Baisha Village, but you will need a 1km walk to reach the valley; carpooling is more convenient for small groups.
- Wear light, long-flowing dresses in white, cream or light pastel shades for ideal photos; bring sun hats, sunglasses and sunscreen for strong plateau UV rays.
- Wooden boardwalks winding through flower beds turn slippery after rain; non-slip flat walking shoes are highly recommended.
- The mirror lake offers perfect snow mountain reflections only on windless sunny mornings; avoid visiting on cloudy or rainy days for photography.
- Do not pick flowers, trample flower fields or damage the Hobbit cottages and chapel facilities; littering in the garden is strictly prohibited.
