About
Together with Zhonghai and Nanhai, it is collectively known as the Three Seas. The iconic Tibetan-style White Dagoba stands on Qionghua Island at the centre of the lake, forming the classic lake-and-pagoda landscape. Must-see highlights include the Nine-Dragon Wall (the only double-sided one in China), Five-Dragon Pavilions, Jingxinzhai and Tuancheng. Visitors can take wooden boats cruising across the lake, admire ancient pavilions, rockeries and lotus ponds. It perfectly combines northern imperial grandeur and exquisite Jiangnan gardening aesthetics, and serves as a fantastic photography spot for capturing the White Dagoba reflected on the water.
