About
It is a sacred site in Tibetan Buddhism, centred on three holy snow‑capped mountains: Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xiaruoduo. Altitude ranges from 2900 m at the visitor centre up to 4700 m at Five‑Colour Lake. Private vehicles are prohibited inside the scenic zone; visitors must take mandatory sightseeing buses. Two classic routes are available: the relaxed short route and the challenging long hiking route.
Core highlights include Pearl Lake, Chonggu Temple, Luorong Pasture, Milk Lake and Five‑Colour Lake. It integrates snow‑capped peaks, glacial alpine lakes, high‑altitude meadows and primitive plateau forests.
