Composed of the main four-story pavilion, stele corridors, poetry pavilions and riverside teahouses, the building features upturned eaves, carved beams and painted rafters, fully presenting the elegant charm of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Unlike crowded downtown commercial landmarks, it carries profound poetic and literary heritage. The interior displays Du Fu’s life stories, wood carvings recording his travels in Hunan, poetry manuscripts and cultural relic exhibitions. Its core highlight is the top-floor viewing platform, which offers a panoramic overlook of the Xiangjiang River, Orange Isle, Changsha skyline and Juzizhou fireworks display, making it the most premium viewing spot for the city’s regular river fireworks.
