About
Located in Wulong District of Chongqing, Fairy Mountain National Forest Park sits at an altitude of 1650 to 2033 meters, known as the "Eastern Switzerland" of southwest China. Covered with thousands of acres of lush Chinese fir forests and expansive rolling alpine grasslands, the park integrates forest canyons, meadows, wetland lakes and pasture landscapes. In summer, it maintains an average temperature below 22°C, making it a well-known natural summer resort; in winter, the entire mountain is blanketed in thick snow, forming a large outdoor ski resort for ice and snow entertainment. With fresh air rich in negative oxygen ions, it perfectly combines natural ecological scenery, leisure outdoor activities and seasonal tourism experiences for all age groups.
Travel Tips
- Buy official scenic tickets and shuttle bus passes online in advance, and present valid identity documents for inspection at the gate.
- Take high-speed rail to Wulong Station then transfer to dedicated scenic shuttle buses; self-driving visitors may park at designated mountain parking lots.
- Bring extra warm outerwear regardless of seasons, as the alpine temperature is consistently 5-8°C lower than the urban area with strong mountain winds.
- Wear non-slip comfortable sports shoes suitable for grasslands, forest trails and ski slopes.
- Do not trample protective vegetation, pick wild flowers or disturb wild animals in the ecological reserve areas.
- Follow staff safety instructions when participating in horse riding, skiing and other outdoor entertainment items inside the park.
