Located in Longgang District, Gankeng Ancient Town is a well-preserved Hakka settlement with a history of over 300 years. It retains classic Hakka architecture including watchtowers and wok-ear houses, and is full of traditional handicraft shops, homestays and cultural exhibition halls. The ancient streets are free for strolling, while separate tickets are needed for core cultural venues and characteristic performance experiences.
