Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

Located in the Ci’en Temple in Yanta District of Xi’an, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda was constructed in the Tang Dynasty under the supervision of the eminent monk Xuanzang. This 64-meter ancient brick pagoda was originally built to house the Buddhist scriptures and statues that Xuanzang brought back from India. Surrounded by tranquil temple courtyards, stone scripture steles and lush greenery, it perfectly combines grand ancient Buddhist architecture with profound religious and historical culture, and serves as the core symbol of Qujiang New District.
