Green Lake Park in Kunming

Green Lake Park is located in the downtown core of Kunming, adjacent to the Yunnan Military Academy and Yunnan University. This well-loved city park features interconnected lake waters, weeping willow trees, stone arch bridges, lotus ponds and traditional Chinese pavilions. The whole park opens to tourists free of charge all year round. Every November to March, massive flocks of Siberian red-billed gulls migrate here, forming a signature human-bird interaction scenery. Visitors can walk the flat lakeside loop path, rent boats to cruise the lake, drink tea by the water, and enjoy casual leisure time with locals.
