Nestled along the Jialing River bank in Yuzhong District, Hongya Cave is a national 4A scenic spot built based on traditional mountain stilt-house design. This 11-story complex clings to steep cliffs, adopting the characteristic local construction techniques of terraced platforms, hanging stilts and staggered layers. It integrates specialty food streets, folk craft shops, themed exhibition zones and river-view teahouses, forming a three-dimensional pedestrian block that perfectly combines Bayu architectural aesthetics, urban commercial vitality and riverside scenery. When thousands of warm lantern lights turn on after sunset, it presents a dreamlike fairy-tale landscape hailed as the real-life prototype of the bathhouse in Spirited Away, becoming the most iconic photography check-in spot in Chongqing.
