Huandao Road (Island Ring Road)

Locals also name it the Five-Color Road, featuring layered scenery of blue seawater, golden sandy beaches, green lawns, red jogging lanes and grey motor vehicle roads. It runs seamlessly from Baicheng Beach next to Xiamen University all the way to Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, connecting dozens of classic scenic spots including Hulishan Cannon Fort, Zengcuo’an Village, Music Square, Calligraphy Square, Huangcuo Sunrise Beach and the landmark “One Country, Two Systems” slogan platform. With dedicated cycling paths, wooden coastal boardwalks, viewing platforms and coastal sculpture clusters, visitors can overlook the Taiwan Strait and catch distant views of Kinmen Island on clear days. It serves as the core outdoor leisure and sightseeing backbone for Xiamen’s southern coastal one-day travel route.
