Huguang Guild Hal

Located at No.1 Bajiaoyuan, Changbin Road in Yuzhong District of Chongqing, Huguang Guild Hall was first built in the 24th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty, with a history of nearly 300 years. This large ancient architectural complex consists of Yuwang Palace, Qi’an Guild Hall and Guangdong Guild Hall, integrating southern architectural styles from Hunan, Hubei and Guangdong with local Bayu mountain terrain layout. Intricate wood, brick and stone carvings decorate every courtyard and ancient opera stage, and an exclusive migration museum inside displays cultural relics recording the large-scale population migration from Hubei and Hunan to Sichuan. It combines ancient architectural heritage, immigrant history and immersive Sichuan opera performances, standing as a precious historical landmark along the Yangtze River waterfront.
