Huqiu Scenic Area (Tiger Hill)

With a history spanning more than 2,500 years dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period, this small hill is only over 30 meters high but boasts steep cliffs, strange rock formations and profound Wu culture heritage. Its landmark is the leaning Yunyan Temple Pagoda, also called the Tiger Hill Pagoda, a famous ancient leaning tower in China. Core highlights include the mysterious Sword Pool, Thousand-Person Stone, Third Spring Under Heaven and Wanjing Villa bonsai garden. The landscape perfectly blends natural mountain stone wonders, Buddhist architecture, imperial inscriptions and Suzhou classical garden aesthetics, highly praised by ancient literati including Su Dongpo.
