About
Located 15 kilometers north of Lijiang Old Town, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a 5A national scenic area and the southernmost snow-capped mountain massif in Eurasia. It features the 4680-meter Glacier Park cableway, Blue Moon Valley, Yak Meadow and Alpine Botanical Garden, with permanent snow peaks and crystal glacial water. The main entrance ticket is valid for two days; high-altitude cableways and sightseeing buses require separate fees. Visitors can admire snow peaks, clear lake scenery and Naxi ethnic alpine landscapes.
Travel Tips
- Seniors aged 70 and above enjoy free entrance tickets upon presenting ID cards.
- The altitude exceeds 4000m; prepare thick down jackets, sun protection and oxygen cans to prevent altitude sickness.
- Do not run vigorously at high altitudes to avoid discomfort.
- Cableway queues are long on holidays; arrive early before opening hours.
- No littering or damage to alpine vegetation and glaciers.
