The artificial hill was built with soil excavated during the construction of the Forbidden City. Wanchun Pavilion on the hilltop marks the highest point of central old Beijing, offering a spectacular 360° panoramic view. Visitors can overlook the golden rooftops of the Forbidden City, the Bell and Drum Towers to the north, Beihai White Pagoda to the west and the modern CBD to the east. It features five elegant ancient pavilions and the grand Shouhuang Hall complex, combining profound imperial history and outstanding cityscape photography opportunities.
