Located in central Chengdu, Wide and Narrow Alleys consist of three parallel ancient lanes: Wide Alley, Narrow Alley and Well Alley, retaining the layout of old Chengdu residential courtyards from the Qing Dynasty. The area blends antique grey brick architecture, time-honored Sichuan snack shops, folk craft stores, slow teahouses and cultural exhibition spaces. It fully showcases the laid-back local lifestyle, traditional Bashu architecture and unique folk customs, being a landmark pedestrian block that carries the city’s old memories.
