About
Mu Mansion is the official residence of hereditary Naxi chieftains in Lijiang, a core World Heritage site inside Lijiang Ancient City. Built in the Ming Dynasty, the grand complex follows imperial palace layout and merges Naxi, Bai and Tibetan craftsmanship, covering halls, towers and courtyards along a central axis. Nicknamed "Southern Forbidden City", it records 800 years of local ethnic history and served as the filming location for drama Mu Mansion Legend. The daytime ticket includes free professional guided tours, while night show tickets are sold separately.
