Lijing Gate

The existing grand ancient tower complex was reconstructed on the original ruins in 2002, consisting of the main gate tower, barbican, arrow tower, city wall, Lijing Bridge and moat. There is a well-known local saying: "He who has not visited Lijing Gate has never truly visited Luoyang." Different from solitary imperial relics, it perfectly integrates ancient military defensive architecture, Heluo historical culture and the bustling downtown market atmosphere. Core highlights include the three-story grand wooden gate tower, thirteen golden dragon pillars on the arrow tower symbolizing Luoyang’s status as a capital of thirteen dynasties, the Heluo Culture Corridor inside the tower, Three-Color Pottery Exhibition Hall, and the connected Cross Street Night Market and West Street Old Pedestrian Lane. The red lanterns lit up after dusk create a stunning Tang-style night view, making it a top Hanfu photography landmark in Luoyang. It can be linked on foot with Yingtianmen Site, Mingtang Paradise and Luoyi Ancient City to form a classic old town night tour route of Sui and Tang imperial culture and local delicacies.
