Built for memorial ceremonies and open‑air performances in honour of Sun Yat‑sen, it adopts a distinctive semicircular open‑air‑theatre layout combining ancient Greek architectural elements and subtle Jiangnan garden details. A huge curved acoustic screen wall stands behind the central stage to gather sound waves, delivering remarkable natural reverberation effects. In front lies a crescent‑shaped lotus pond with a fountain, and wide semicircular grass terraces serve as natural audience seating for over 3,000 visitors.
