Qinghai Museum

Located beside Xining Xinning Square, this national first-class museum is Qinghai’s core provincial cultural venue, founded in 1957 and fully upgraded in 2021. It houses over 15,000 sets of cultural relics including prehistoric painted pottery, Tubo golden ornaments and Ming Buddhist statues, with four core exhibitions covering ancient history, archaeological finds, intangible heritage and revolutionary culture. Famous treasures such as the dancing pattern painted pottery basin fully show the integration of farming, nomadic, Han and Tibetan cultures along the ancient Silk Road and Tang-Tibet Road, acting as an essential cultural preface for Qinghai plateau travel.
