About
Located in Chengbei District, Xining, this museum consists of two parts: the free North Tibetan Medicine Hall and the ticketed South Tibetan Culture Hall. It systematically displays Tibetan history, religious art, ethnic costumes, ancient medical classics and plateau medicinal specimens, with the world’s longest hand-painted Thangka as its core treasure, fully presenting profound Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Tibetan culture.

- North Tibetan Medicine Hall is free for all visitors, register with ID card only.
- City buses and taxis reach the museum; free on-site parking for self-driving visitors.
- No flash photography or tripods for Thangka exhibits to protect ancient pigments.
- Do not touch cultural relics, paintings and display cabinets inside exhibition halls.
