Located in Tianmenshan Town, Yongding District, Zhangjiajie, this scenic area features a unique table-shaped karst landform with seven peaks arranged like the Big Dipper, standing opposite Tianmen Mountain across the valley. Its main highlights include the 1520 Sky Eye glass viewing platform, Ruyi Bridge glass plank road, steep alpine cable car and cliff via ferrata. The combined set ticket covers entry fee, round-trip cable car and intra-mountain shuttle bus, with multiple thrilling and photography-friendly spots suitable for leisure sightseeing and adventure travel.
Travel Tips
- The mountaintop temperature is 6-8°C lower than downtown; bring lightweight windproof jackets all year round.
- Extra separate fees apply for via ferrata, alpine luge and other thrilling amusement projects.
- Thunderstorms and heavy fog will temporarily close cliff facilities for safety; check weather before visiting.
- Arrive early in the morning for higher chances to witness stunning sea of clouds and sunrise scenery.
- Private vehicles cannot drive up the mountain; park at the designated parking lot at the cable car lower station.
