Travel Tips
- Take the Erhai loop sightseeing bus or local minivan from Dali Ancient City directly to Shuanglang
- Designated paid parking lots are available at the town entrance
- The ancient town’s public streets, coastal trails and main viewing platforms are free to access
- Wear lightweight non-slip walking shoes for stone alleys and uneven lakeside plank roads
- The plateau sunlight is intense, so prepare sunscreen, sunglasses and a sun hat
- A thin windbreaker is necessary for the cool breeze off the water in the late afternoon
- Stroll along the coastline from north to south for the best sunset shooting angles
- Do not climb coastal cliffs, disturb fishing boats or damage wetland plants
- Drones are restricted in the lakeside ecological protection zone
