Sichuan Opera House

Founded in 1960 and located in Jinjiang District of Chengdu, this national-level professional troupe is the landmark palace of Sichuan opera art. It hosts the well-known permanent show Hibiscus National Essence, presenting core stunts including face-changing, fire-spitting, rolling lanterns and hilarious folk comic plays. Equipped with traditional teahouse-style auditoriums, it combines classic opera repertoires, intangible cultural heritage performances and slow Chengdu tea culture, offering an immersive experience of genuine Bashu traditional opera art for domestic and overseas visitors.
