Located in Maling Town, Lipu City around 20km from Yangshuo, Silver Cave is a national 4A karst cave scenic spot running through 12 limestone peaks. The 2km one-way sightseeing route covers lower cave, grand hall and upper cave, gathering stalactites of various geological ages that glitter silver-white under colored lights. Well-known landmarks include Snow Waterfall, Music Stone Screen and Sky Pool Fairyland, praised as an underground crystal palace. The cave maintains a constant 18°C temperature all year round, and adult on-site tickets cost 65 RMB with cheaper advance online reservations available.
Travel Tips
- Visitors aged 65 and above get free entry by presenting original identity certificates.
- The cave interior stays cool at 18°C all year; bring a light thin jacket to avoid coldness.
- Cave paths and stone steps are damp and slippery; wear non-slip flat shoes and avoid high heels.
- Do not touch, knock or carve stalactites, as human sweat and damage will permanently ruin the natural formations.
- No restrooms inside the cave; use wash facilities at the entrance before entering.
- Free audio guide devices are provided at the ticket office; no need to hire private tour guides.
- Small souvenir photos are free at the exit, while enlarged framed photos cost extra and are optional.
