About
Completed in 2006, the architecture perfectly combines minimalist modern geometric design with traditional Jiangnan garden aesthetics, featuring white walls, grey roof tiles, unique hollow window frames and iconic rock water courtyard. Connected directly to the reconstructed Prince Zhong’s Mansion of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the museum houses nearly 25,000 sets of cultural relics focusing on Wu Region history, ancient ceramics, jade wares, calligraphy and paintings.
The national treasure Secret Color Porcelain Lotus Bowl is its most famous exhibit. It serves as a top cultural landmark for architecture appreciation, relic study and urban city walk in Suzhou old town.
