Located in Suoxiyu Zone of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, this 5km valley features flat walkways flanked by towering pictographic stone peaks such as Herb-Gathering Elder and Three Sisters Peaks. Included in the park’s 4-day valid entry ticket, it offers slow hiking paths and optional sightseeing mini-trains that glide through lush forests and unique sandstone peak landscapes.
Travel Tips
- Free park shuttle buses connect Ten-Mile Gallery entrance with Tianzi Mountain and Yuanjiajie scenic areas.
- The valley trail is fully flat without steep slopes, friendly to seniors and families with kids.
- The whole hiking loop takes about 90 minutes one way; take the mini-train to save energy for mountain hiking later.
- Visit early on holidays to avoid long queues for the sightseeing train.
- Bring lightweight waterproof jackets and non-slip shoes, as mist and light rain frequently appear in the valley.
- Multiple covered viewing pavilions are available along the trail for photography and shelter from rain or sun.
