About
Located at an altitude of 2295 meters in western Xining, this national 4A scenic spot is the largest comprehensive wildlife park on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, also a key base for snow leopard breeding and rescue. Covering over 1500 mu, it exhibits nearly 100 species of wild creatures, featuring the country’s largest captive snow leopard population, as well as rare plateau cats including Pallas’s cat and desert cat that can barely be seen elsewhere. It integrates wildlife viewing, scientific research, animal rescue and ecological popular science, with natural mountain terrain creating wide activity spaces for animals without performance shows.
