About
Situated on the south bank of the Yellow River at No.524 Nanbinhe East Road, Chengguan District, Lanzhou Waterwheel Expo Park is a national 4A themed park famous as the world’s largest waterwheel exhibition site. Divided into Waterwheel Square, Waterwheel Garden and Cultural Plaza, it restores giant wooden irrigation waterwheels invented in the Ming Dynasty by Duan Xu, alongside sculptures, folk exhibition halls and waterfront walkways. It fully displays ancient Yellow River irrigation wisdom and Lanzhou’s unique waterwheel culture, serving as a core stop on the city’s Hundred-Mile Yellow River Scenic Belt, with free public access to the whole outdoor park area.
