Xiamen Botanical Garden (Wanshi Botanical Garden)

Covering a total area of 4.93 square kilometers in the rolling Wanshi Mountain range, it belongs to the Gulangyu-Wanshi Mountain Scenic Area, housing more than 8,500 species of plants including national first-class protected varieties like Alsophila spinulosa, golden camellia and ginkgo. Divided into over 20 specialized gardens, its two most iconic internet-famous spots are the Rainforest World with timed fog spraying system and the Super Succulent & Cactus Zone featuring towering columnar cacti. It also boasts Araucaria Lawn, Ten-Flower Hall, Palm Island, Wanshi Lake and stone carvings scattered across the mountains. Nestled close to Nanputuo Temple, Xiamen University Siming Campus and Zhongshan Road business circle, it serves as a vital natural ecological stop for Xiamen’s urban mountain and coastal one-day sightseeing route.
