Xiamen Science and Technology Museum

Officially opened in 2007, it covers a total construction area of 21,000 square meters with 12,000 square meters of permanent exhibition space. It houses five core themed exhibition halls featuring over 400 hands-on interactive science exhibits, three immersive special-effect cinemas and multiple temporary exhibition zones. The five main galleries cover marine exploration, human body and life science, robot & intelligent technology, electromagnetic physics experiments and exclusive children’s interactive paradise. Iconic highlights include the 6.8-meter-high ancient water clock modeled after Su Song’s water-driven astronomical clock tower, 1:1 Jiaolong deep-sea submersible replica, 7.8-magnitude earthquake simulation platform, Van de Graaff generator hair-raising show and robot performance shows.
