Xiaomaidao Park

Famous as Qingdao’s “Little Kenting”, it is a wildly‑popular free coastal ecological park with vast sloping lawns, coastal wooden boardwalks and natural red‑rock reefs. From the hilltop meadow, visitors enjoy 360‑degree sea panoramas: west toward Qingdao urban skyline including May Fourth Square and Olympic Sailing Center, east toward distant Laoshan mountain range, and south over the open Yellow Sea. Iconic photo spots include the solitary lonely tree on the hillside, white lighthouse, dolphin sculpture and reef shoreline. Many visitors come for picnics, casual walks and golden‑hour sunset watching for the famous “orange‑colored sea” view.
