About
Xingping Ancient Town has a thousand years of history, located on the bank of Li River in Yangshuo. The whole ancient street is free to access, lined with ancient stone roads, old wooden dwellings, local snack shops and folk craft stores. It is the shooting location of China’s 20-yuan RMB landscape. Visitors can take bamboo rafts, rent electric bikes to wander the countryside, or climb Xianggong Mountain nearby to overlook winding river and layered peak forests. Only peripheral paid scenic spots and rafting services charge separately.

- The ancient town pedestrian street is completely free of entrance fees, no reservation required.
- Bargain politely when buying handcrafts and souvenirs from street vendors.
- Keep personal belongings safe as crowds gather during holidays.
- Riverbank stone roads are slippery after rain, wear non-slip flat shoes.
- Do not litter along the river and ancient streets, protect the riverside environment.

Best Time to Visit
Mornings before 9 bring misty rivers with fewer crowds; 16:00–18:00 has golden karst sunsets. April-May & Sept-Nov have nice weather.
