Xixinan Wetland

The highlight is the primitive poplar forest wetland stretching for kilometers. Towering ancient poplar trees form a natural green corridor, with clear streams winding through the woodland, creating dreamlike reflections on the water surface. Different from crowded commercial ancient villages, Xixinan retains a laid-back rural atmosphere with fewer tour groups. Core attractions include the internet-famous wooden bench bridge, Poplar Forest Wetland, Le’ai Ancient Dam, Laowuge & Lvrao Pavilion, riverside old lanes and Tongji Bridge. Visitors can wander along forest trails, take bamboo raft cruises, wade in shallow streams and explore well-preserved Ming-dynasty Huizhou architecture.
