About
Yuanjiajie is located in the central area of Wulingyuan World Natural Heritage Site, covered by the 4-day valid Wulingyuan general park ticket. It features world-famous landscapes including Avatar Mountain, the First Bridge under Heaven and Mizi Platform. Surrounded by thousands of vertical stone pillars, the area has flat viewing walkways on the mountain top. Visitors can reach Yuanjiajie via Bailong Elevator or mountain hiking trails, and take free intra-park shuttle buses to travel between Tianzi Mountain and Golden Whip Stream.
Travel Tips
- No separate entrance fee; all sightseeing platforms are included in the Wulingyuan general park ticket.
- Seniors aged 65 and above enjoy free park admission by presenting identity documents.
- The mountaintop viewing platforms are windy year-round, carry a lightweight windproof jacket.
- Stone walkways become slippery after rain; non-slip walking shoes are highly recommended.
- Visit Mizi Platform early in the morning for high chances of seeing vast sea of clouds.
- Long queues for Bailong Elevator occur on holidays; arrive before opening hours to avoid waiting.
- Do not climb cliff edges or carve on stone peaks to protect fragile geological landscapes.
