Yuelu Mountain

Known as "the soul of Changsha's landscape and culture", it boasts abundant ancient vegetation including mill-old ginkgoes and camphor trees, forming a natural oxygen bar in the downtown area. Different from bustling urban scenic spots, it carries heavy cultural heritage: it houses Yuelu Academy, one of China’s Four Great Ancient Academies, and Aiwan Pavilion, one of China’s Four Famous Pavilions immortalized by Du Mu’s classic poem A Trip to the Mountain.
