About
Built along the shore of Dianchi Lake, Yunnan Nationalities Village is a 4A cultural scenic area covering 89 hectares. It restores authentic residential buildings of 26 ethnic groups including Bai, Dai, Yi and Hani. Visitors can walk through independent ethnic villages, watch scheduled live folk shows, join interactive activities like Dai water-splashing ceremonies and Yi bonfire parties, and appreciate ethnic handicraft making such as batik and silver carving. The daytime entry ticket covers all village sightseeing and regular outdoor performances; premium indoor musical dramas and sightseeing shuttle carts require extra payment. Day ticket holders can stay until nightfall to enjoy lantern-lit ethnic night scenery without repurchasing night tickets.

- Daily folk performances follow fixed schedules; check the timetable at the visitor center to avoid missing shows.
- April Water-Splashing Festival and July Torch Festival hold grand themed events with extra folk parades.

- Metro Line 5 and multiple public buses reach the scenic area gate; parking lots have limited spaces on weekends.
