Zhonggu Cable-way

It is the only urban mountain aerial sightseeing cableway on Xiamen Island, running parallel to Zhonggu Mountain Tunnel with a total length of 1000 meters. Equipped with 82 semi-open double-seat gondolas, the cable-way reaches a maximum height of 150 meters above the mountain slope, and the full round trip takes around 40 minutes. Suspended above dense subtropical forest, it delivers a 360° panoramic view: overlooking the layered greenery of Wanshi Botanical Garden, the old town red-tiled roofs, the entire Lujiang Bay, Gulangyu Island, Xiamen Twin Towers and vast coastal waters. The mountain top platform features wind-eroded giant rocks and preserved wartime tunnels, adding unique historical and natural fun. It can be perfectly combined with Xiamen Botanical Garden, Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen University to form a classic mountain-sea one-day sightseeing route in southern Xiamen.
